Superbowl Sadness and more...

Do you love using your crockpot, but hate the three-day process of scraping and soaking and cleaning that follows?
After a breakroom discussion about the mess of cleaning the crockpot, I bought some slowcooker liners!
They're great! We had some slowcooker pulled pork, and the cleanup was as easy as pulling out the old bag! (I did have to wash the inside of the crock after puncturing the bag accidentally with a fork, but it was not nearly as labor-intense as the normal crockpot cleanup!)

If you've ever met our Kitty, you know she's not your ordinary cat. She can talk for days about anything, has terrible timing, and requires lots of attention. She also meets her Dad at the door when he gets home from work for some belly-rubbing. Yes. Belly-rubbing.

Bryan will often have to sit on the floor and rub Susie's and Kitty's bellies for a few minutes.
You might remember that we got a Wii for Christmas from Bryan's Mom and Dad. We've had a lot of fun playing, and I'm quite pleased to report that I've set a new record, with nine strikes in a row, and a high score of 265! (Bryan had the previous high of 238.)
Do I have to talk about the Superbowl??
There were tears shed.
The morning started off nicely with our famous blueberry pancakes and maple butter-
Colts style.
We made some wings, quesadillas, and mozzarella sticks and stayed in to watch the game. You know how it ended... I tried to console myself with the fact that Brees is a Purdue grad. I also found out that he married a highschool classmate of mine. It's a good thing for the city of New Orleans. And there's always next year. Susie celebrated her 10th Birthday earlier this month!! She was very excited about her big day. She had some chicken breast and rice for dinner. So did Kitty... Bryan didn't want her to feel left out.
Susie finished her dinner in about 7.5 seconds...
And while Kitty didn't finish hers, she seemed content afterwards. Susie decided birthdays were so much fun, she'd like to have one everyday. Our Susie has never begged... until she tried steak, that is. I shot a little clip of Susie while her Dad was eating leftover steak. You'd think it was 110 degrees inside... she appeared very HOT! This is Susie's way of begging for food... (yes, she got some!)

Bryan has a job interview in Indianapolis on the 22nd! We'd love to be back in Indy, cheering the Colts on this fall!
